Production Reel

Demo Reel:
This is as it states: my demo reel.  It gives a broad idea of the different projects I've worked on and the many hats I wore on each project.  This will always be updated so keep an eye on it.

Movie Reviews By A 6 Year Old
Writer/Director/Camera Operator/Director of Photography
This was a brainchild by my child.   Cece and I love to go to the movies.  Mix that with her charming personality as well as her garrelous nature, and you have her review show.  This is the first episode.  There are several more (check out her Super 8 review, a personal favorite) at her YouTube page which you can access by going to www.moviereviewsbya6yearold.com.  Technically, I shot this on several different cameras (whatever EVS had available at the time).

Matt and Wes Vs The Zombie Apocalypse

Episode 1: A Zombie By Any Other Name
Writer/Director/Camera Operator/Director of Photography
Shot on a Sony PMW-EX3.  This was a test to see if we could get enough friends together to adapt a comic strip by my friends Matthew Jeffrey and Patrick Roach.  It was great experience and showed promise for a web series.

Thanksgiving Special
Producer/Writer/Director
Shot on a Canon 5D Mark II.  It took a little time after our first episode to get people back together and to get more talent (behind the scenes) involved.  I was able to get an actual Director of Photography and more grips on set.  For this, and future episodes, I was able to concentrate more with my actors; it shows (and will show in future episodes).  Also, this was my first project as sole producer.  The show's original producers left the show and I took over as main showrunner and producer.  Juggling everything was challenging, but I had a very experienced crew and we still had a lot of fun and got some great stuff.

Christmas Special
Producer/Writer/Director
Shot on a Canon 5D Mark II.  Also shot with the Thanksgiving Episode, this is a fun thank you to our few fans (and those soon to find us).  My personal favorite moment is covering them in blood.  Not only was it freezing, they stayed covered in it for five hours.

COMING SOON:
Episode 2 and 3 in post, thus eliminating long delays between episodes.  January 25, 2011 is when we will air Episode 2.  Check out the website at www.mattandwes.com.

VFW: Return The Favor
Director Of Photography/Camera Operator
I shot this on a Canon 5D Mark II for Director Robert True for the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW).  This is a promotional piece about a soldier helped by the VFW.  There is another edit, not online, that was aired at the Kansas City Chiefs game on October 31, 2010.

Harlow: Stairway To Heaven
I operated camera (Panasonic HVX-200A) for this performance.  A lot of my shots are used.
